June 3, 2011 – As part of its commitment to continuous product improvements, Enertech Manufacturing, LLC has released its latest geothermal heat pump model, the Hydron Module® Revolution® Series CT combination unit. Based on the same award-winning design as the company's Revolution Series vertical packaged models, the new combination unit utilizes an innovative multi-positional cabinet that is field convertible to upflow/downflow with right or left return. The unit is available in sizes from two to six tons (2 ton coming soon!) and features enhanced heating and cooling efficiencies compared to the previous generation – 4.8 COP and 27.9 EER on three ton models, part load. All Revolution Series CT combo models meet the stringent Energy Star Tier 3 requirements that take effect on January 1, 2012.
Hydron Module combination units are one of the most versatile geothermal heat pumps available. They have the flexibility to provide forced air heating, forced air cooling, and domestic hot water plus hot water for radiant floor heat. Radiant floor heat is accomplished through a brazed-plate heat exchanger inside the unit. Heat is transferred from the heat exchanger to water which then runs through tubing in the floor to produce radiant heat and warm floors. Its compact size allows for easier access to other internal components, reduces overall unit weight and still allows for downflow conversion.
A prime trademark of the Hydron Module Revolution Series cabinets is ease of installation and service. The CT combination product line is no exception. The unit features a variety of installer and servicer benefits, including eye level controls and convenient service access panels. An anti-microbial plastic drain pan with condensate overflow sensors and e-coated air coil are standard features that protect against corrosion and extend the life of the unit.
The Revolution Series combination unit is one of the quietest geothermal heat pumps available today. Features like quadruple compressor isolation, foamed-in source coaxial heat exchanger and insulated airtight access panels help reduce vibration and airflow noise. Overall appliance styling with rounded cabinet corners, combine with stainless steel and charcoal colored access panels to create a unit that homeowners will proudly boast.
