The TETCO® brand of geothermal heating and cooling systems announced the addition of coverage for a limited lifetime compressor warranty, effective July 1, 2011.
This new optional warranty is available to homeowners as a specialized extended warranty. The lifetime compressor option may be added to either the standard warranty or the extended warranty, at the homeowner's discretion, provided it is purchased during the first 90 days after invoice. Additional coverage with this option allows a one-time compressor replacement after the expiration of either the standard or extended warranty.
TETCO's standard warranty for its geothermal heating and cooling systems covers five years parts and labor. An available TETCO extended warranty additionally covers parts and labor for ten years. The decision to introduce the lifetime compressor warranty came as a result of discussions with customers requesting a differentiating warranty. The company attributes one of its competitive advantages as being more nimble than larger companies, enabling a more responsive relationship. According to Dan Jackson, Vice President of Operations, "The addition of the lifetime compressor option is a testament to our deep commitment to our customers, as well as our excellent product quality. The real value of the lifetime compressor warranty is providing the homeowner with absolute peace of mind."
TETCO geothermal dealers began offering the limited lifetime compressor warranty as an option to homeowners in July.
