BASF Corp. has introduced a new colorant for projects that require intense colors and high color retention.
BASF's Chroma Finish is a proprietary technology that can be used to produce the strong, intense colors often used by corporations to create brand identity. With Chroma Finish, colors like deep blues and bright reds can now be produced with warrantied fade resistance.
"Chroma Finish sets a new performance standard for high chroma color used for exterior application. It offers the richest color imaginable without the typical tendency for premature fade," said Kevin Canale, national color lab manager for BASF Wall Systems in North America, in a press release.
Chroma Finish utilizes low volatile organic compound and alkylphenol ethoxylates-free high performance colorant technology. The 100 percent acrylic chemistry ensures long term film flexibility and crack resistance. Although localized conditions can greatly affect color permanence, BASF Wall Systems offers a six year warranty against excessive fade.
