"With the growing interest in creating healthier spaces for our youngest family members, the new organic Sprout fabric collection was the perfect next step," said Virginia Young, co-founder of Yolo Colorhouse. "We recognize the importance of taking healthy living beyond our zero VOC paint and are excited to branch out with colorful new fabric designs for life's newcomers."
Yolo Colorhouse redefined the zero VOC paint category in 2005 with the launch of its Portland, Ore-based indie paint company, which demonstrated that premium paint could be free of fumes, safer for humans and the planet and still look stunning. With the less is more approach to paint colors and its non-carcinogenic, zero VOC Green Seal certified formula, Yolo Colorhouse's products have won the respect of the design and environmental community nationwide.
Put a Bird on It
DIY expert Brett Bara designed simple patterns for the Sprout fabric collection with the USA-made, 230-thread count certified organic cotton in mind. Available in a sateen finish and a soft knit, the fabric is made using non-toxic water-based inks and is perfect for easy curtains and bunting flags, as well as pillow designs including a popular bird pattern. The 100% organic cotton knit version is recommended for fitted crib sheets and a sweet baby blanket. The 56" wide fabric is $36 per yard.
