MoistureShield® products are manufactured with a 50/50 blend of recycled wood fibers and plastics. As a company, A.E.R.T. is able to save 271,808,511 pounds of waste from entering the country’s landfills every year. That equals 36 football fields stacked 10 feet high!
A recognized pioneer in the industry, Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies, Inc. (A.E.R.T.) has been manufacturing composite wood building products for over 20 years. In 1988, the Brooks family founded A.E.R.T. when they discovered an eco-friendly way to create high quality building components using reclaimed wood fibers and recycled plastics.
Since then, A.E.R.T. has further developed and patented its proprietary waste plastics reclamation technologies which allow us to recover waste plastics from the by-product of other recycling operations, as well as from pre- and post-consumer waste streams. These efforts include our development of polyethylene film recycling technology in conjunction with Dow Chemical Company.
