Building Green

How does the TightLines Designs approach result in incredibly low energy bills, cleaner interior air to breathe, and sustainable construction techniques?

Besides applying plenty of common sense to our designs and planning, we work hard at keeping current on green technology and practices to offer efficient sustainable homes.  Not only are they spacious, offer huge livability, and have appealing aesthetics, but are good for the environment. We wouldn't have it any other way - it's just the right thing to do.

These 'opportunities' and our standard drawings include the following green details, among many others:

  • Framing Efficiency and advanced framing techniques
  • Raised heel trusses (for continuity of insulation)
  • Insulated window and door header details
  • Insulation and caulking techniques
  • Overhang depth options
  • Window flashing details
  • Metal roof drip edge and roof gutters
  • Conditioned crawlspace options
