Anua's PuraM® membrane bioreactor was chosen because it’s design is particularly suitable for the decentralized market with an emphasis on reduced operational input, ease of maintenance and less complexity than comparable systems.
The Laurel Cove system includes 18 flat-plate PuraM® membrane cassettes designed to treat a Phase I flow of 250,000 gallons per day with a permit requirement to achieve a final effluent quality of 10mg/L biochemical oxygen demand; 20 mg/L total suspended solids; and a future requirement for 10 mg/L total nitrogen.
