Crumbling houses and an increase in criminal activity pushed Raleigh N.C.'s Community Development Department to revitalize the blighted Cooke Street neighborhood. David Maurer, president of Raleigh, N.C.-based TightLines Designs, served as architect and consultant to the Raleigh Community Development Department for architectural and construction review of house plans. The 3-year project resulted in:
