ProudGreenHome's top headlines in June

Solar, utility savings and all things HGTV were among the most-read articles on ProudGreenHome in June.

Top articles included news on the 2012 HGTV Green Home Giveaway, a new book that discussed how solar and wind power don't offset fossil fuel use, and three ways to generate electricity at home.

Other popular articles included a focus on geothermal heat pumps, a product review of a Wolf convection steam oven that impressed ProudGreenHome Editorial Director Teena Hammond during the KBIS show in Chicago earlier this year, and Ply Gem's online remodeling tool.

Another article on a solar company expanding into the Hawaiian market made a splash, and it garnered attention when one of ProudGreenHome's Approved Contributing Experts shared her thoughts on a low-cost way to beat the heat.

Topics: Appliances, Building Green, Exteriors, Geothermal Heating & Cooling, Remodeling, Solar Power
