Designed for today, dedicated to the future
Larry Acker has studied water conservation for 45 years, so he really is an expert on the subject, particularly hot water distribution systems. Plus, he’s in California, where preserving natural resources has total top-of-mind awareness. In 1990 he created an electronically controlled re-circulatory pump system. But unlike others on the market, Acker’s pump distributes hot water on demand. It’s called the ACT D’MAND Kontrol System, a sustainable product that saves thousands of gallons of water per year per household, and is a pleasure to use.
Homeowners aren’t the only ones who appreciate the product. ACT D’MAND has received a Certificate of Recognition by the U.S. Dept. of Energy. It has also been approved by every major Green Building program, like LEED, the EPA’s Energy Star and WaterSense programs, and the California Energy Commission’s Title 24. Worldwide approvals include WaterMark compliance for Australia and Mexico’s NOM and ANSI compliances.
Acker has been the chairman of the Pacific Coast Builders Conference and a featured speaker at national and international conferences. If you see the term “Structured Plumbing” in a residential or commercial building, thank Acker. It’s yet another contribution he has made to sustainability for this generation and many more to come.
ACT D’MAND Kontrols® and Structured Plumbing® are registered marks of Advanced Conservation Technology Distribution, Inc., a family business based in Costa Mesa, Calif.
