Green Gab Podcast | Sunsets and Changing Climate Zones

April 7, 2017 | by Marla Esser Cloos

The sunsets in Oklahoma City are breath-taking and I’d forgotten how beautiful they are.  The climate and the flat landscape are likely some of the reasons. Whatever the reasons, it is a lovely gift of being in a new place and it brings a smile to my heart each time.

The sunsets are only the beginning of living in a new place.  Oklahoma is in a different climate zone which brings many adjustments of its own, including a warmer, drier climate with different plants, allergens, etc.  The climate changes extend to our home too with different building practices and materials.  It is a balancing act to breathe well in our homes and our lives as we encounter chemicals in materials and furnishings inside with allergens and dirt (and more) from the outside environment.  Your personal priorities coupled with the climate where you live will help you figure out what works best for you and yours.

To learn more about how climate affects you and your home, check out the blog Sunsets and Changing Climate Zones.

I’d like to invite you to join me on the Green Home Coach’s Facebook page Tuesdays at 11:11am CT to ask your questions about green home and green living via Facebook Live.  Hope to see you there.

Every week on iTunes and The Green Gab Podcast, get the gab with us as we share what we’ve done, as well as tips for greening up your home, your job, your family and your life!  Get in on the gab for why green matters – to you, your family and friends and your community.  For more information about the show, Marla at marla@thegreenhomecoach.com or Tony at tpratte@thesoundroom.com.
