Privacy Glass Without Sacrificing Light
April 21, 2017 | by Keith Juhola
Thanks to a plethora of innovative design options, ODL has made it easy for homeowners to get it all. What might seem like two traditionally opposing design wishes, “either/or” is no longer the case for those who want both privacy and natural light. The various textures and patterns represented in ODL’s Perspectives Textured Doorglass create privacy and beauty at the same time, all while allowing the home to reap the benefits of natural light.
You may have envisioned a frosted, textured glass as something that could live only in your bathroom over a decade ago, but the demand for privacy glass has made its way to exterior doors, making the Perspectives line one of the most successful ones in ODL’s doorglass offering. The textured doorglass offers a high level of privacy with a total of nine designs inspired by nature. Reminiscent of the cobblestone streets in historic villages, “Mosaic” is one such design in the ODL Perspectives line. Another is “Linen,” a woven pattern of etched glass. There’s also “Blanca,” with its slightly stippled surface of frosted glass, and the water-inspired “Rain” and “Streamed” designs. Along with privacy and beauty, efficiency is in the mix, as ODL’s Perspectives doorglass offering is available with a Low-E glass coating.
