Carrier Donates Products for Habitat Homes in Los Angeles

Some new Habitat for Humanity homes in California will save energy with new smart thermostats.

Following more than two decades of supporting Habitat for Humanity of Central Indiana, Carrier has expanded its support to include Habitat for Humanity in California.

Ten recently donated energy-efficient Carrier home comfort systems and Wi-Fi enabled Côr thermostats are currently being installed in Habitat for Humanity homes in Los Angeles.

“Carrier is extremely proud of our history with Habitat for Humanity and is passionate about helping this organization reach a wider audience,” said Matthew Pine, vice president, marketing, Carrier Residential. “By providing these products, we are able to extend our strong relationship with Habitat and offer energy-efficient Carrier home comfort systems to families in need.”

“We are thankful to Carrier for their continued support and expanding their support to Los Angeles,” said Erin Rank, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. “Together, we are helping families to buy and live in affordable and sustainable homes.”

“Our founder changed the world when he invented modern air conditioning and we take seriously our unique responsibility to honor his legacy by helping as many people as possible enjoy Carrier comfort,” Pine said. “Supporting affordable housing in one of the country’s most expensive areas is indicative of the support Carrier provides to the communities where our customers live, work and play.”
