Making a More Energy Efficient Home
July 27, 2016
How do you make your home more energy efficient and what does this really mean? Essentially it means reducing the consumption of fossil fuels in our homes as much as possible as this is where most of the energy used in our homes comes from.
Fossil fuels produce the deadly greenhouse gas CO2 which causes climate change. Luckily, there are many different ways you can reduce your energy consumption to reduce the production of CO2 and do your bit for the environment, while also saving on your utility bills.
Simple things include opting for double-glazed windows, improving upon the insulation of your walls and choosing to line your curtains. Focusing on each room of your home, one at a time, is a good way to do it as a project. For information about the specific rooms in a house and what you can do in each to reduce energy consumption, have a look at this infographic created by Senator Windows for more information.
