Smart Ranges Make Cooking Easier Than Ever

Smart Ranges Make Cooking Easier Than Ever

Sometimes good things come in the same-sized packages. That is definitely the case with new GE Profile and GE Café front control slide-in ranges, which have been transformed into pioneering culinary masterpieces that maximize every inch of space, giving owners sleek, custom look, edge-to-edge cooktops and connectivity to get them cooking with ease and confidence. According to the great minds at GE Appliances who engineered a way to maximize every inch, there is no longer anything standard about the standard size.

"We know that today's appliances need to do so much more than look good," said Tim Calvert, marketing director for GE Appliances' ranges. "That's why the latest features added to GE Profile and GE Café slide-in ranges offer so many industry firsts that when combined, give you the perfect recipe for professional performance in an easy-to-use package."

Speaking of industry firsts, the gas and dual fuel GE Café slide-in model comes with six burners on a 30-inch range and a double oven—all in the same space used by most standard upright ranges. That's double the oven and 50 percent more burners to efficiently multitask at mealtime.

GE Café electric slide-in range includes an induction cooktop in a single oven or a double oven offering. It is the first and only range to come standard with a precision cooking probe that monitors liquid temperature, and then communicates adjustments to the connected range and a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth® to ensure food cooks perfectly.

Besides also featuring an edge-to-edge cooktop, the GE Profile slide-ins have sizzling features of their own. On the gas version, GE Profile cooktops come standard with five burners in 30-inch models with the largest available reversible grill or griddle for the ultimate in culinary flexibility. GE Profile induction ranges also include the Glide-Touch technology for ease of use and cleanup.

"When your range is designed to fit your life, cooking can become more of a pleasure than a chore," said Calvert. "And today, part of that means integrating connected technologies into your daily routines—and kitchens. GE Appliances leads the way when it comes to convenient connectivity."

All new GE Profile and GE Café slide-in ranges are WiFi® and Bluetooth enabled, allowing owners to preheat, set timers and change temperatures from their favorite smart device, Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

"With GE Appliances, you never have to make a choice between function or form because we offer the full package," said Calvert. "Our suite of ranges and cooktops offer more premium finishes, more features and more wow-factor that will give your kitchen and your cooking an overnight renovation."

GE Profile and GE Café slide-in ranges come in six premium finishes and true double-oven configurations that fit into the same cutout as conventional free-standing ranges. Self-clean and steam-clean ranges, modern back lighting and precision cooking probe are available on some induction models.

All ranges are available now with MSRP's from $1,299 to $3,999.
