Smart thermostat links to control geothermal heating system

Geothermal heating and cooling just got more efficient with a smart thermostat control.
HVAC manufacturer Carrier linked two of its most sustainable products in home comfort together in a solution designed to increase convenience and save homeowners money.
Carrier geothermal heating and cooling solutions are now compatible with the company’s smart thermostat, the Infinity control.
The combination of the Infinity Control’s advanced capability with Carrier’s energy efficient geothermal solutions provides customers with a system that can reduce heating and cooling costs by up to 70 percent, with the convenience of being controlled from anywhere with an Internet-connected device.

The geothermal system uses the Earth’s natural energy to heat a home in the winter and cool it in the summer. With a whisper-quiet air handler unit normally located in a basement, crawl space or utility closet, the Carrier geothermal solution is a quiet solution for sustainable home comfort.
Infinity controls provide Ideal Humidity System technology for optimum comfort, no matter the outdoor conditions, as well as personalized comfort with up to eight zones of comfort control. The Advanced Smart Setback feature, vacation scheduling and Touch-N-Go settings for home, away and sleep help give the best balance of comfort and efficiency.
Infinity control also assists dealers with its easy four-wire system, which helps to eliminate guessing and call-backs. System self-configuration for faster, error-free setup and commissioning makes installation easy.
