Ed Begley Jr. nearing completion on high performance green home
A long-time environmentalist, actor Ed Begley Jr. is putting the finishing touches on his new net-zero solar powered home.
At the 2015 International Builders' Show, Begley discussed his life-long sustainability journey and his experience in remodeling a 1930s home into a green home, before launching on his new home project.
Begley plans to make the home one of North America’s greenest, most sustainable homes, with a goal of LEED Platinum certification. Eaton is providing electrical efficiency expertise and a range of products to help the Begley family meet their green goals. In addition to electrical components and LED lighting from Eaton, the home includes electric vehicle chargers for the family's plug-in electric vehicles.
