Helios Solar Works: State Energy ProgramEstablished in February 2010, and funded by a state grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), formerly the Department of Commerce, and a federal grant from the State Energy Office awarded by the Department of Energy through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the State Energy Program has made six grants and 25 low-interest loans. These 25 loans now comprise a $38 million Clean Energy Manufacturing Revolving Loan Fund. To date, Wisconsin’s Clean Energy Manufacturing Revolving Loan Fund has helped Wisconsin companies create more than 1,000 jobs and retain 4,400 more. The video is about one such company; Helios Solar Works of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, manufactures high-performance mono-crystalline solar modules for solar electric systems. They use only high-quality components and an advanced, automated manufacturing platform to offer modules that deliver higher efficiency, lower installation costs, and a smaller system footprint.
