Simonton brand windows, which became part of the Ply Gem line up in 2014, offers an array of windows for builders, remodelers and homeowners.
At the 2015 International Builders' Show, Megan Mazur, director of channel & product management for Simonton Windows, reviewed some of the features that make up a high performance window, and demonstrated one of the casement window offerings.
Simonton's Madeira windows and doors offer replacement windows for traditional, classic architectural styles. The line provides energy efficiency that outperforms ENERGY STAR. standards, with features that include ProSolar Low-E glass with Argon gas as standard; ProSolar Shade Low-E glass and Eco3TM triple-pane glass packages are available.
For homes in western regions of the U.S., Simonton DaylightMax windows are available for replace and remodel projects. The Simonton DaylightMax windows have less frame and more glass than typical replacement windows. The narrow frame and wider viewing area provide up to 40 percent more daylight than wide-frame windows and outperforms ENERGY STAR standards. The windows are available in multiple styles, including a patio door and hinged patio doors.
