Wind energy is one of the most energy-efficient sources available. But location plays a big factor in its effectiveness. The National Wind Technology Center has mapped out the best places for for wind resourcing. For example, some locations that produce wind speeds of more than 17 mph include:

  • The Greak Lakes
  • Upper Minnesota
  • Texas' southeast coast
  • The Upper Pacific Region
  • The northeast coast of the Hawaiian islands
